The Rock Box is one of our more complicated projects and as a result, it has a difficulty rating of 6 out of 10. However, once completed you will not only have saved yourself over £100 you will end up with is (probably!) the best drive based pedal available today.
In summary, the Rock Box is a two stage drive pedal. The first stage replicates a cranked Marshall plexi
and the second stage provides a clean sparkly boost for solo work. Through a clean amp this sounds huge! It really nails the Kossof, ACDC, Clapton types of tones and the addition of the boost circuit adds to this meaning that this is a one-stop-shop for all your classic rock tones.
This kit is provided with all the parts needed to build your own Rock Box. All you need is basic tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, soldering iron, etc) and within a day you can easily finish this challenging, yet rewarding, build.
