The True Bypass Looper (along with the ABY and the AB) are excellent starter projects and as a result, they have a difficulty rating of 2 out of 10. Once completed you will have the basic skills needed to build any of our other kits.
This pedal can be used in many ways. The most popular being :
- Removing noisy, tone sucking pedals from your effects chain
- A master switch for pedals (Cry Babys, etc)
- Create a whole effect chain switchable with 1 switch
The last point above is the most efficent way to utilise a looper on your board. You can have (for example) an overdrive, booster and delay all in the loop. Switching the single footswitch on your DIY looper will then bring these pedals all in or out of your chain. Simple!
This kit is provided with all the parts needed to build your own true bypass loop switch. These pedals bought from a shop can cost over £50 for a budget model. Building your own kit will give you a comparable product for the fraction of the cost.
